Install an air source heat pump this summer while the tariff is still high, urges Green Square Raynes Park, the UK renewable energy showroom. |
The summer is not the most obvious time for homeowners to worry about their home heating. It is the season when the air conditioning industry is at its busiest installing cooling systems into offices.
But, Green Square is encouraging homeowners to use the RHI at its current level and install both an air source heat pump and a solar PV system to reduce their energy bills. It is not only the financial benefit for the homeowners. With longer days in the summer, homeowners will have less disruption because installers have more time to fit the systems.
Jared Sneath, Green Square Raynes Park Manager said:
“At this time of the year, we encourage our customers to get ahead of the game when it comes to installing ASHPs. Instead of risking a boiler breakdown in the midst of winter when heating and hot water are essential, taking the initiative and planning ahead can save a lot of hassle in the colder months. With the RHI payments reducing over time, anyone considering a switch to renewable energy supplies will get a better deal the sooner they act.”
