The purchasing team is the backbone of Calorex’s production process, procuring all the materials and components required for the manufacture of the company’s market-leading air and ground source heat pumps and dehumidifiers.
With over 30 years’ experience in purchasing and facilities management, Calorex is delighted to welcome Colin Myers as Purchasing Manager for all direct materials. Colin will head up the team of three buyers and planners developing sourcing strategies and purchasing quantities of parts to support the Calorex production build.

Colin will head up the team of three buyers and planners developing sourcing strategies and purchasing quantities of parts to support the Calorex production build.
“My short term goal is to review our processes to reduce complexity and provide consistency,” explains Colin.
“Longer term I intend to drastically reduce the number of suppliers we have, introduce preferred supplier agreements so that ultimately our customers will benefit from superior products at competitive prices.”
Colin is joined by new team members Edward Outen, Mark Prentice and Clare Taylor. Buyer Edward is responsible for sourcing products from Asia and Europe such as compressors, fans and motors, while Mark works closely with the planners to ensure that orders are delivered on time with Clare concentrating on internal purchasing and having a key role in implementing new procedures within the IT structure.
