BSW Building Services has had its contract to install air source heat pump into another 80 social housing properties by Lewes District Council. The project's first phase success in Sussex saw 100 properties fitted with the heat pumps.
“BSW carried out the installations quickly and diligently with minimal disruption to tenants, who reported immediate savings on their energy bills. It has been so successful that we decided to broaden the scope of the project.”
Adrian Woolridge added:
“With energy costs rising, some of our tenants have been choosing to go without heating altogether, which carries a risk of ill health and causes damp, poor ventilation and mould. Clearly this situation is unacceptable. With the UK’s weather being so turbulent and energy costs rising remorselessly, never has it been more important for us to combat fuel poverty.”
